Presidency

The president’s term of office is one year from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. Each new president is appointed by the parties in the following manner:

Member appointed by the Kativik Regional Government
Member appointed by the Government of Québec
Member appointed by the Kativik Regional Government
Member appointed by the Government of Canada
Member appointed by the Kativik Regional Government
Member appointed by the Government of Québec
Etc.

For 2011-2012, the president is Mr. Michael Barrett.
